  • Last night we witnessed BASEBALL in Chicago where the KC Royals and the White Sox finally had at it after bad blood had been flowing between both teams. The lid finally blew-off when Jordano Ventura quick-pitched Adam Eaton, who bounced back to the box. Eaton had some words for Ventura, Ventura fired back, and it was on! Five players were thrown out of the game. I have to say, even though Harold Reynolds pointed out that THIS ONE was not Ventura’s fault---the kid is a @#$%^ disturber and is going to be a marked man if he continues his childish and adolescent behavior.

  • The AMAZING METS won their 11th straight game yesterday. Smoke and mirrors? I think so. Whereas this team should compete for a wild card this year---no way are they THIS good. They will come down to earth.

  • After a miserable 4-10 start, the Giants swept...

  • Joe Nathan has been diagnosed with a torn UCL and tendon in his right elbow and will require season-ending Tommy John reconstructive surgery.

  • Kris Bryant is starting in center field for the Cubs on Thursday afternoon against the Pirates. Nice for fantasy players if Bryant has more than just 3B eligibility.

  • Tony Watson tossed a pair of scoreless innings for his first save of the season in Wednesday's win versus the Cubs. With Mark Melancon’s velocity down---everything points to Watson taking on full-time duties as Buc closer. Get him if he isn’t already gone!

  • Giants manager Bruce Bochy said Tuesday that it's becoming "less likely" that Hunter Pence (forearm) returns before the end of April.

  • In a rather light newsworthy day yesterday, the New York Mets did win their ninth straight game yesterday, with rookie catcher Kevin Plawecki, who was just called up to replace the injured Travis D’Arnaud, getting two hits and scoring 2 runs.

  • Yasmani Tomas, in place of the injured Jake Lamb, placed 2 hits and plated a run in the D-Backs loss to the Texas Rangers last night.

  • A’s first baseman Ike Davis, pitched a perfect 8th inning for the A’s, as his time got routed by the Los Angeles Angels 14-1.

  • The Chicago Cubs are calling up the #5 MLB prospect Addison Russell. Looks like Russell, a natural SS, will be playing 2nd base for the Cubbies.

  • Brewer’s catcher Jonathan Lucroy, will be hitting the 15 day disabled list after suffering a fractured toe on his left foot Monday night.

  • Indian closer, Cody Allen, blew a save for his team on Monday night when he gave up four runs in the bottom of the 9th to the Chicago White Sox.

  • Remember to set your line-ups early today. It’s Patriot Day in Boston and O’s and BoSox’s have first pitch at 11 am est.

  • A-Rod is only 2 HRs away from tying Willie Mays for 4th place on the All-Time HE list. Can’t wait to see how the Yankees handle that one.

  • Huge injuries for Mets on Sunday---catcher Travis D’Arnaud fractured his hand after getting hit by a pitch and reliever Jerry Blevins fractured his forearm after taking a liner back to the box.

  • The White socks are going to call up #3 prospect in baseball today---Carlos Rodon. The rookie sensation will start out of the Sox bullpen, but will be in the starting rotation sooner rather than later.

  • The Detroit Tigers have scored 31 more runs than their opponents in their first 6 games.

  • Three out of four players suspended thus far this year for PEDs, are all from the Dominican Republic, where Stanozolol is legal and can be purchased over the counter.

  • The Washington Nationals have activated OF Jason Werth form the Disabled List.

On today's edition of Who's on First, Vince goes on a rant on one of his league competitors for stealing TWO CLOSERS out from under his nose, calls out Blue Jay manager John Gibbons and makes a BOLD PREDICTION concerning the 2015 New York Yankees.

  • Here’s a stat for you---13 of the first 37 games played have ended in a SHUT OUT. Tells you everything you need to know about pitching taking over the game.

  • Adrian Gonzalez was just ridiculous last night hitting three home runs, making it five in his first three games of the season. That has never happened before in the HISTORY of the Major League.

  • Joe Nathan has hit the DL with an elbow strain. Joakim Soria will be taking over closer duties for the Tigers.

  • Injuries are beginning to pile up for the defending World Series Champion San Francisco Giants. Last night first baseman Brandon Belt strained his groin while chasing down a foul ball, and starting pitcher Jake Peavy reported more back discomfort while throwing a bullpen session yesterday. Both players could be on their way to the 15-day DL.

  • Thus far I’m loving Steve Pearce and Travis Snider batting 2-3 in the Oriole line-up. After the first two games, Pearce is batting .429/3R/2HR/4 RBI, while Snider is swatting .800/1R/3RBI. Snider should still be available in most mixed leagues.

  • Miami Marlins starter Matt Latos is looking at a 94.50 ERA this morning after giving up 7 runs on 6 hits after 2/3 of an inning in his start against the Braves last night. No doubt, many owners have already dropped Latos, quickly forgettin...

On today’s episode of Who’s on First, Vince takes a look at opening day and scouts out six players of value that should still be available on your waiver wire.
