  • Last night we witnessed BASEBALL in Chicago where the KC Royals and the White Sox finally had at it after bad blood had been flowing between both teams. The lid finally blew-off when Jordano Ventura quick-pitched Adam Eaton, who bounced back to the box. Eaton had some words for Ventura, Ventura fired back, and it was on! Five players were thrown out of the game. I have to say, even though Harold Reynolds pointed out that THIS ONE was not Ventura’s fault---the kid is a @#$%^ disturber and is going to be a marked man if he continues his childish and adolescent behavior.

  • The AMAZING METS won their 11th straight game yesterday. Smoke and mirrors? I think so. Whereas this team should compete for a wild card this year---no way are they THIS good. They will come down to earth.

  • After a miserable 4-10 start, the Giants swept...

  • Joe Nathan has been diagnosed with a torn UCL and tendon in his right elbow and will require season-ending Tommy John reconstructive surgery.

  • Kris Bryant is starting in center field for the Cubs on Thursday afternoon against the Pirates. Nice for fantasy players if Bryant has more than just 3B eligibility.

  • Tony Watson tossed a pair of scoreless innings for his first save of the season in Wednesday's win versus the Cubs. With Mark Melancon’s velocity down---everything points to Watson taking on full-time duties as Buc closer. Get him if he isn’t already gone!

  • Giants manager Bruce Bochy said Tuesday that it's becoming "less likely" that Hunter Pence (forearm) returns before the end of April.

  • In a rather light newsworthy day yesterday, the New York Mets did win their ninth straight game yesterday, with rookie catcher Kevin Plawecki, who was just called up to replace the injured Travis D’Arnaud, getting two hits and scoring 2 runs.

  • Yasmani Tomas, in place of the injured Jake Lamb, placed 2 hits and plated a run in the D-Backs loss to the Texas Rangers last night.

  • A’s first baseman Ike Davis, pitched a perfect 8th inning for the A’s, as his time got routed by the Los Angeles Angels 14-1.

April 21, 2015

  • The Chicago Cubs are calling up the #5 MLB prospect Addison Russell. Looks like Russell, a natural SS, will be playing 2nd base for the Cubbies.

  • Brewer’s catcher Jonathan Lucroy, will be hitting the 15 day disabled list after suffering a fractured toe on his left foot Monday night.

  • Indian closer, Cody Allen, blew a save for his team on Monday night when he gave up four runs in the bottom of the 9th to the Chicago White Sox.

April 17, 2015

  • Not only is Chicago Cubs phenom 3rd baseman KRIS BRYANT being called up today, and being put in the Cubbies starting line-up, but, by the way---HE’S BATTING CLEAN UP! Hope you hopped on him in your draft. Mike Trout potential impact!

  • Injuries starting to pile up—CARLOS GOMEZ hits the DL with hammy, JOSE REYES has a fractured rib cage, and VICTOR MARTINEZ is STILL nursing his surgically repaired knee.

  • ARCHIE BRADLEY is an absolute STUD. The 2015b NL Rookie of the Year. Write that down.

  • Injuries are beginning to pile up for the defending World Series Champion San Francisco Giants. Last night first baseman Brandon Belt strained his groin while chasing down a foul ball, and starting pitcher Jake Peavy reported more back discomfort while throwing a bullpen session yesterday. Both players could be on their way to the 15-day DL.

  • Thus far I’m loving Steve Pearce and Travis Snider batting 2-3 in the Oriole line-up. After the first two games, Pearce is batting .429/3R/2HR/4 RBI, while Snider is swatting .800/1R/3RBI. Snider should still be available in most mixed leagues.

  • Miami Marlins starter Matt Latos is looking at a 94.50 ERA this morning after giving up 7 runs on 6 hits after 2/3 of an inning in his start against the Braves last night. No doubt, many owners have already dropped Latos, quickly forgettin...

  • The Braves sent closer Craig Kimbrel and outfielder Melvin Upton to the San Diego Padres for OFs Cameron Maybin, Carlos Quentin, Jordan Paroubeck, SP Matt Wiser and the 41st overall pick in next year’s draft.

  • Carlos Quentin was then sent for re-assignment by the Braves

  • It is being reported that Jason Grilli and Jim Johnson will now share closer duties for Atlanta.

  • Former World Series MVP Cody Ross has been released by the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Detroit Tigers Justin Velander WILL NOT be put on the DL to start the season.

April 2, 2015

  • Chicago White Sox’s first baseman, Jose Abreu, is hitting a ridiculous .518 this spring.

  • Shane Victorino will be the starting right fielder for the Boston Red Sox come Monday, which means that Cuban sensation, Rusney Castillo, is more than likely to start the season at Triple A. Not something that you wanted to hear if you drafted the blue-chip prospect.

  • In a minor league game, Chris Sale, fanned 13 batters over 6 innings yesterday. Looks like that fractured foot is doing a helluva lot better.

  • Oakland A’s center fielder, CoCo Crisp, will be out 6-8 weeks due to surgery needed to remove bone chips/spurs from his right elbow. In the past, Crisp could add life to any slumping fantasy team as an offensive replacement, or alternative---WHEN HEALTHY---problem---DUDE NEVER HEALTHY!

Good morning, all! It’s not yet 6:30 here in the Colorado Rockies, and I’m up and at em’ as I wanted to leave you with a blog prior to me leaving to San Jose for WrestleMania weekend. Man, just typing that seems weird. Even though I’m not “really” going to be associated with WM over the weekend, just being “around” it is going to be a little weird for me. I haven’t participated, or even watched for that matter, a Mania since 1999, and that’s an absolute shoot. As I’ve stated many times before---since Ed and I were heavily involved in the Attitude Era, I really haven’t been a fan of wrestling. Back then, I couldn’t even wait to get back to the office to view what we had done on Monday nights, but since, it’s really been nothing more than I job.

And, that’s sad---it just is. I never purposely lost my passion---I just did. When I fel...
