I enjoyed last night’s Elimination Chamber event.  It wasn’t a show that we will be talking about for years to come, and honestly, we’ll probably stop talking about it next week sans one match.  Of the six matches on the card, I felt that only one had a guaranteed winner.  I’ll get to that in a bit, but I thoroughly enjoy a show more when the majority of the results aren’t fully predictable.  This show could have been great, though, because there was so many missed opportunities.

The New Day is starting to grow on me and I think it is solely because of the entrance.  After Big E’s voice echoes through the arena and the bass heavy theme song hits, a collective groan bellows from the arena.  Then out comes Xavier Woods, skipping and clapping, with a giant smile on his face like he is the most appreciated guy on the ros...

WWE announced this week that their developmental federation NXT will be running a show on May 16th in Albany, New York.  This show is planted firmly between two shows scheduled by successful independent promotion 2CW (Squared Circle Wrestling) out of Syracuse, New York.  2CW is having a show in Amsterdam, New York on the 15th that is less than an hour from Albany, and their follow up show the day after the NXT show is within two hours driving distance.

I would find it hard to believe that this booking is coincidental, especially after the poll that WWE sent out asking fans which independent promotions they support where 2CW was one of the choices.  The promotion is very successful, drawing over 2,000 fans to events numerous times and putting on high-quality shows that have put 2CW at the top of the conversation as arguably...
