MAJOR POINTS FROM MY "IS WRESTLING FAKE" RANT

August 4, 2015

MAJOR POINTS FROM MY "IS WRESTLING FAKE" RANT FROM YESTERDAY BECAUSE GOOGLE'S GLITCHES MESSED IT UP!!!

Should we be upset at Dana White? Doesn't it make business sense for the guy vying for arguably the same dollar as the WWF to take a cheap shot at them? Remember "BILLIONAIRE TED"? Vince McMahon's shot at WCW when WCW was quickly taking market share away from his company.

Wasn't Vince McMahon actually the one who 20 years ago declared that Professional Wrestling was indeed Sports Entertainment in an effort to skate around various athlete commissions looking to make his life difficult? Remember that? Thus, wasn't the man who created professional wrestling the same man who later publically said it was FAKE?

NOBODY is questioning whether, or not, the athletes who step into the ring--male, or female--day in, day out--aren't putting their bodies, careers and livelihoods on the line each and every day---WE KNOW THEY ARE. However, even if that is indeed the case--it doesn't in turn make the choreographed fights REAL.  Usually somebody gets hurt when either themselves, or their opponent makes a mistake.

I pretty much know that wrestling is fake, because I had to tell the talent who was winning and who was losing. I remember that vividly because when I told Goldberg that he was losing to Scott Steiner--he almost killed me--FOR REAL!

If professional wrestling was real----Disco Inferno would not be a professional wrestler.

Even though Dolph Lundgren put Sylvester Stallone in the hospital after they shot their fight sequence in Rocky 4, does that now make the Drago-Balboa fight REAL because somebody got hurt?

If wrestling was real---a World Champion would not hire two munchkins to serve as his bodyguards.

If wrestling was real, a grotesque looking burn victim---who could not speak without the use of a voice modulator---wouldn't be wearing a suit, speaking perfect English, and sporting an Eddie Munster haircut as the company's Director of Authority 15 years later.

If wrestling wasn't fake, no one would be a make-believe King defending a fictitious mountain that doesn't exist.

If wrestling was real , , , Dixie Carter wouldn't be running a wrestling company.

If wrestling was real--nobody would be throwing phantom cloth lines that miss by 20 feet in order to transition into the next spot because they don't know any other way.

If wrestling were real---nobody would allow themselves to get punched in the face 10 consecutive times as the fans count along.

If wrestling was real----the fans who chant "that was awesome" as it pertains to choreographed maneuvers for your entertainment pleasure--wouldn't be dictating the direction of which the business is headed.

If wrestling was real---all the writers would be fired due to sinking ratings week, after week.

If wrestling were real---DAVID ARQUETTE WOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN WCW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION!

If wrestling were real--VINCE RUSSO WOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN WCW WORLD CHAMPION.

If wrestling was real JR would still be calling the play-by-play on RAW.

If wrestling were real, Kevin Owens wouldn't be making fake, mean faces during his promos.

If wrestling were real---somebody would actually give Bray Wyatt a good storyline to work with.

If wrestling was real---would somebody actually be carrying around a briefcase with nothing in it every time they walked to the ring for the good part of an entire year? REALLY?

If wrestling was real Sandow would be on TV.

If wrestling was real all six flip, flop and flyers would be either MAMED, CRIPPLED or DEAD five minutes into their spot fest.

If wrestling was real Bubba Ray Dudley would not be going out with Velvet Sky.

BOTTOM LINE:

If wrestlers do indeed believe and want wrestling to be real--real simple--go in there and wrestle for REAL. I guarantee you ratings would double within a year.

ALL MY OPINION---don't take it personally.
